Orkestra

An inventory and crew-scheduling platform for teams who are tired of tools that look like they were designed in 2005. Leading product design, brand, and marketing from zero.

The problem

The problem

Two of the most important tools in operations, and two of the worst-designed categories of software.

Crew scheduling and inventory management are core to how ops teams run. But the leading platforms are either a decade behind on interface design, or so feature-heavy that getting anything done feels like a tax. We saw an opportunity to build something simpler, faster, and architected for where these teams are actually going next.

The bet

The bet

Ops teams don’t need more features. They need the right ones, well-designed, with AI doing the work that doesn’t need a human.

The MVP focuses on doing the fundamentals brilliantly. The roadmap builds toward embedded AI that streamlines the repetitive work teams do every week, freeing them up for the parts of the job that actually need judgement.

My role

My role

Product design, brand, and everything in between

01

The product

Leading product design across the core inventory and scheduling flows, from first-run onboarding through to the day-to-day tools teams will live in. Every decision is weighed against a simple question: does this help someone get their job done faster, or is it just a feature?

02

The brand

Designing the identity alongside the product so the two speak the same language. In a category full of bland blue SaaS tools, Orkestra has room to feel more considered and more human, without going so far that it stops feeling trustworthy to the people who’ll use it every day.

03

Designing for AI from day one

Even though AI isn’t in the MVP, every interaction is being designed with it in mind. The flows are structured so that when we embed AI assistance, it slots in naturally, rather than being bolted on later as a second-class feature.

The site

The site

A landing page that looks like the product

Designed and shipped the marketing site alongside the product, same voice, same materials, same signature green. Below is the live page — in the original build it’s embedded and fully interactive, with a working schedule builder in the hero.

The product

The product

Built for teams who live in the tool

The core admin surface, where ops leads spend their working hours. A dashboard that surfaces what matters without drowning it in charts, drag-and-drop scheduling that feels physical to move around, and inventory that stops feeling like a spreadsheet.

Dashboard

inventory, active crew, monthly spend, this week’s schedule.

Scheduling

drag-and-drop shift assignment.

Employees

profile drawer, timesheets, active jobs.

Inventory

stock levels, warehouse locations, reorder alerts.

First run

First run

The first five minutes

Getting a new team from signup to their first schedule with as few decisions as possible. Every question earns its place, and skipping it is always an option — teams can come back once they know what they need.
